Hello friends and family! This blog is to help keep you informed as Team Susan prepares for Race for the Cure! October 9th will be a wonderful day of fellowship in the outdoors and a great opportunity to support Susan/Soonie/Mom as she goes through her cancer treatments. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join Team Susan. If you feel like you won't be able to actually run/walk, you can still join the team!
What: 5K/3.1 mile run/walk
Fee: 30$ registration, 15$ for children (14 and younger)

8:50 pre race warm-up/jazzercise at the start line
9:00-10:45 5k run/walk
10:00-10:30 1 mile fun fun
9:30-12:00 post race celebration at main stage in front of Jefferson County Courthouse

Fun Fact: In 2009 the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation gave UAB a 6.4 Million dollar grant for breast cancer research.
